CrossFit Youth Camp

Preparing the Denton MAC youth for athletics and participation in the weight room.

Age: 10-16
Tuition: $200

June 14-17; 21-24
Monday – Thursday:
12PM – 2PM

~Limit 16 students. Camp must have 10 students to make.~

Camp Focus

1. Basic Lifts (Form Over Load)

– Squatting patterns
– Pressing patterns
– Hinging patterns
– Olympic lifting

3. Mobility

– Understanding basic biomechanics and anatomy
– Increasing ranges of motion
– Targeting problem areas

5. Wellness Lectures

– Breathing
– Nutrition
– Sleep patterns
– Nervous System
– Training vs. Performance

2. Safety and Etiquette

– How to warm-up and cool down
– How to create midline stability
– How to be a good training partners
– How to load/unload a barbell properly
– How to respond to coaches’ cues

4. Anaerobic Threshold Training

– Safe, low skill movements
– Short bursts of intense work

CLASS COACHES
